I just replaced all the switches on my Jag because they were slowly wearing out.

The local music store L&Q wanted to charge me $16/switch with is crazy, $64 to replace all four. A couple of people were selling switches on eBay $6.99US. But a local electronics store had better quality switches for $1.50 each.

I thought I should post this.

Okay, I always wash my hands before i play my guitar, but still after a time the strings pick up that bad metal smell, so I get a hot damp clothe and wipe them down, and it goes away.
Is this a no no? Are there other ways?

i remember reading posts on a website some time back about the cyclone, and everybody complained about it going out of tune too easily. i used to play mine for hours, pretty much every day, and i swear i only had to tune it when i changed my strings. i thought i must have been mistaken, but i checked it from time to time with a digital tuner, and ( Read more... )
