Slippery Slope

I need to get this off my chest. I've been reading articles lately where the term "slippery slope" has been bandied about as an excuse. I'm sorry to say that the idea of "slippery slope" is, frankly, BULLSHIT. It's less an argument for discussion and more of an argument by stupid people to make other stupid people more afraid

*thumbs up for this* I have nothing to add, but it's nice to see that someone else gets driven 'round the bend by that 'slippery slope' argument. They apply it to drugs too. "Ooh, if someone smokes pot, it's only a matter of time 'til they're snorting crack from a hooker's stomach!" Haha, bullshit. That's like saying if someone drinks soda it's only a matter of time 'til they drink alcohol, then 'til they smoke pot, and then... well, you're back at the hooker again. SLIPPERY SLOPE!
