The MANS' Rules

Aug 06, 2006 02:26

Finally, the guys' side of the story. We always hear "the rules" from the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side.

These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!
I am putting this behind a cut because some have expressed the opinion that this is offensive. Not my intent, I just found it amusing. )

as a man, I find this highly offensive.

re toilet seat.... erm... put the LID down before you flush. I don't want to be covered in toilet aerisol because some numbskull didn't have the sense to close the lid.

re sports... I never saw anything positive that ever came from this passtime. in fact it is extreemly harmful to the thinking person's life.

re fat... Some persons believe themselves to be fat, when in fact they are VASTLY underweight. This is extreemly dangerous, and should never be patronised to. There of cource are also some persons who are on the other extreem.

re Columbus the fact that he was WRONG about where he had gotten to is proof positive that he indeed DID need directions, and so does EVERY person at some point in life.

re colours... both men AND women are capable of seeing over 16777216 colours. that is WAY too many to name every one. Use the pantonone system instead.

if I did not mention it, I either do not find it offensive, or in very rare cases, I actually agree....

Sorry I do not understand whatg this has to do with what was written.

You are free to think what you like about sports, I have found some useful lessons on many sports fields. The problems come when it is taken TOO seriously. I think this is the point.

Agree

humour requires truth. the fact that I so strongly disagree with the content, meant that I could not find it funny. I do however recognise that this illustrates a stereotype which is widerly held, and which is pervasive of our (Western) culture...

as for the toilet thing. I am pointing out that BOTH "seat up" AND "seat down" persons are being disrespectful (not to mention unsanitary), as they both are filling the entire room with microscopic particles of sewage water (IE - shit)... both need to learn to shut the lid.

Sorry, perhaps my response should have been to take offense?! Responding to horniness is much more fun, though! *GRIN*

I read this before you put it behind the cut. As a spoof of typical (but by no means universal) male attitudes, I found it pretty amusing on the whole. Are there portions where that humor touches on someone else's pain? Of course. That's what all humor does to one degree or another. I think that anybody who didn't see the benign spirit in which this was offered and got his/her undergarments in a twist as a result needs to lighten up and not take everything they encounter so seriously.
