if your wrist is hurting on and off, that could be very bad. take it from someone who had wrist problems for AGES and is still suffering from not practicing for a year. ummm...rub bengay on it, or asian stuff. and make sure you warm up before you play, at least for 15min. also, if you can, just warm up your whole body as soon as you wake up. drink some hot water or do some basic yoga stretches or something. or both. and next time i see you, remind me to show you some quick warm-up things to do if you end up not having enough time to warm up before you play--because it happens.

best of luck. and i hope it's nothing.

also, if you can, read about Alexander Technique. it's this kind of yoga/physical therapy thing (usu. for musicians) and it's all about using your body in the right way to relieve stress and prevent injury and stuff. i'm taking a class on it right now, and he made us buy a bunch of books. remind me to lend you a couple of hte better ones so you can read it over the summer or something.

hi~ :) It was just hurting on and off that day for about an hour, but I am kind of concerned. We'll see. I just had rehearsal for 4 hours yesterday, so I guess I'm just waiting to see if the violin playing is the root of it or not. ('cause I haven't played regularly in so long. speaking of which, I have awful posture. I guess I'm twisting my back when I play, 'cause my right shoulder blade ached a lot afterwards...)

hm...Alexander Technique . . . haven't heard of it, but I will be looking that up when I have the time. :)
