More stuff on Hep-C and sex.
Some anecdotes given to me from the hep_c community in response to my post there several weeks ago.
"Hi I am married to a man that had hep c for 30 years and did not know it until 2 years ago. (tatoo infection) I had sex with him for 12 years and did not get it...It is not a sexually transmitted disease provided there is no blood involved.(if you get my drift)"
"It is blood to blood and I think women are more likely to get it sexually and it is RARE. Not proven to be passed sexually. (the jury is still out) But it is rare. Not impossible. There is blood in sperm and there is the possiblity. But it is rare."
"I have had Hep C for 24 years. My children don't have it and none of my friends ever transmitted it.It is safe to say that if you are in a relationship with anyone use protection when she has her period! Blood can then be transmitted."
