You are a great and wonderful person, but you have to acknowledge that when you talk about those people who talk about you you are giving them power.

Ignoring them is the best method of ridding yourself of those worthless individuals.

I do ignore them, actually. Just because I'm writing what I think in my journal doesn't mean I'm giving them power... they have no idea what I think. The thing is, I've "dealt" with this for over a year, and happily so because I rid myself of all the worthless ppl, and besides, I enjoy my solitude. The only reason I'm reflecting on this now after so long is because a friend recently pointed out to me that the rumors are still going on, even while I may not know about it, because I'm not in that web. It just made me incredulous to think that it is still in the air after so long, and going strong, and so I have to stop and laugh about it. It's absolutely ridiculous to me.

And the truth is, I half-forgot the rumor was around; I almost never think of it until a new friend brings it up...And because it's an important rumor with important connotations, it needs to be discussed with the few people in my life whom it may possibly impact. If you knew the whole deal, you'd understand, but I rarely talk about this unless such a situation comes around in which I feel the need for that particular relationship. Other than that, no one needs to know the truth, because they don't deserve it, or I don't care about what they think they know.
