It's over. I gave his phone to the police, so they'll be able to trace his contacts and backers from that, it seems like. As far as endings go... I'm not surprised it went the way it did. Of course, the one responsible for everything wasn't a duelist himself. ... I'm still not used to seeing that much blood, but we're all lucky it wasn't much, much ( Read more... )

What are you talking about?

... Should've filtered this.

It's complicated. I stopped a man who was killing a large number of spirits.

He had some strange ring that belonged to a devil. The devil took it back, along with the man's hand.

Regardless, spirits will be safe now.

Quick question. Where you doing this for the Spirit Foundation, or?

Otherwise, I'm going to have a butt load of work for a couple of months.

Is it easier on you if I was?

Well, you can either say you did, under the pretense of helping the police, or you can admit you were involved in vigilante activities and quite possibly see the inside of a jail cell.

Then yes, I was assisting the police as part of the Spirit Foundation, as we are allowed to.

...okay, gimme the bullet points. Can my buddies move out of the doghouse I made in the courtyard and back into their forest?

It was a man who used a ring that belonged to some kind of devil. The ring seemed to have the power, not the man. The devil took the ring back, and the man who did it lost his hand. He should have no more power.

It should be safe now, but it might be best to wait until the police investigation finish tracking down all of his supporters.

I'm hoping that if I keep explaining it, it will eventually start making sense.

Dunno why that'd be surprising. There's a whole type of duel spirits basically called devils. Which of course doesn't even go into the idea of there being a difference between devils, daemons, and demons, all of which could be separate from duel spirits.

...I'm guessing this has to do with Shouko's mess? Hopefully the guy was her father, she always seemed to hope he'd be put away for good.

I guess so. ... I can't really explain it, but I don't think what I saw was a duel spirit, either.

It was Mazane-san's mess, but I'm not able to talk about it in more detail until the trial, apparently. Anti-defamation laws.

Hmm... well, you are rather sensitive in regards to spirits, so if anyone would be able to tell, I'd imagine it'd be you.

Hopefully he won't buy his way out of it again, then. I'm sure she'd like to move on with her life.

I recorded our whole conversation, where he confessed to quite a few things, so I don't think he'll be able to this time.

Not to mention he's just had his hand removed. Jail is probably the safest place for him.
