I hope you dont mind strangers sharing. Years ago I had a similar experience (apart from being pregnant!). I had a small citroen and discovered was pregnant with twins so wanted a larger, but still fast car, I spent ages choosing it and ordering it, eventually the garage found a car. I was 6 months pregnant and pleased. They rang to say whilst cleaning it the valet machine had blown off the wall and written off the car!! I finally responded to the message a week later - I had co incidentally gone into labour with twins at 26 weeks (like 24 weeks for a single baby) 14 years ago and the Addenbrookes first early healthy twins ( proud and sad moment). So my message went like this, 'thanks for the news, but since I've got the news don't know if we will need the bigger car anyway' (I was muddled and not sure how well my babies were doing - sincerely not loading the guilt!). The garage felt so bad they spent the rest of the time I was in hospital searching for an even better car, so that when i was out they could present me with it! Good

jagwap 5, garage 0 sounds impressive, but I don't think I'd trust a garage which crashes thier customers cars.

It's a point that hasn't escaped my notice but "shit happens", and this time it happened to me, and they are superb in every other regret. if they don't give me the scratch removal on the boot then I shall be pushing for a good price on the service.
