Shameless plugging

Yesterday I pre-ordered Kashmir's latest album. So far these guys have been almost unheard of in the UK, with just John Peel playing them. However they are huge in Scandinavia, having won the equivalent of four Grammies in Denmark for their last album: Zitilights. This is stunning piece of work, and if the new one competes with it I suspect they' ( Read more... )

Is it http://www.kashmir.dk/news.php this band? They do sound a bit like early Radiohead before all the experimental stuff.

That's the fellas. They do have their own sound as opposed to all the radioplay and coldhead wannabes this country has been producing, and have been going for 10 years so have had time to gel.

Yeah, but their singer looks like a scary guy who has just returned from an Antarctic expedition.

He seems to have a thing about having a full beard: se
n hin in a t-shirt proclaiming the fact - full beard - fullfilled.

Anyway, who cares what a band looks like. I like my bands uninterested in their appearence because they are too busy concentrating on the music.

I'm not sure why I should care about them playing in Koln (though it's not that far away...)

I've just looked at the map, and you're nowhere near Koln, unless you mean near as in I'm near Plymouth? Then again, you're used to driving through five countries in order to buy cheaper plonk (if you can call bergerac and gigondas plonk).

The cheapest option (although not for the environment) would probably for you to fly to London and then to Koln on Ryanair!

...who is indeed still lurking at (in?) LJ, or rather: again, after a long break (approx. 1 year) during which she was too preoccupied with: losing job, losing B., finding new stormy relationship with (this time biological) female, losing a stone, starting smoking again, losing mind. Many things to be lost and found - still quite confusing. Anyway, being unemployed (and enjoying it!), I have time again for reading LJ's (without writing my own though). I hope you have found stuff rather than lost it in the past few years, and are generally happy. Can't go to concert, too expensive for music I don't really now. Still enough money available for beer though...off I go! Wish you a pleasant weekend. Maybe see you sometime when I visit sweet Rosa again. Prost!
