you sillie! I started the fad of calling poems pommes in the poetry forum I frequent, since most n00bs title their threads "Read my poem!" or somesuch lameass thing.

Er, no. Ever heard the term 'in loo of this event' like, because of this, this happened? I'm not sure if loo is how you spell it now.

"in lieu of" means "in the place/stead of"...
as in, "uncle jack is dead, so please send money to the midget foundation in lieu of flowers"
or something like that... right? i think...
