I think I'm in love with Jorge Luis Borges. Like, deeply, "necro-geriatriphilia" in love. That's the kind of man I want to marry. Except, younger, and not dead. But let's keep the Argentinian thing going, I dig that.

"The Garden of Forking Paths" is my favorite short story... ever.

Did you know that he was deathly afraid of mirrors?

I didn't, although I have a basic occult knowledge in the same vein as his, and I've read his stuff on Fish (beings that live in reflections) so I can't say it surprises me. I've thought myself about keeping a "no mirrors near my corpse" clause in my will. Unless I'm making assumptions...would you happen to know why?

It was something involving doppelgangers and other possible Borges. If you read the Garden of Forking Paths and consider the "swarming" that Borges talks about, you can see some of his fear or mirrors or mirrored reality.

Then it is about Fish. I just figured the Garden of Forking Paths was about quantum theory. I guess it's quantum theory mixed with 11-th century mythology.
