Clarification...jaimebeanerSeptember 24 2005, 02:49:35 UTC
I knew someone was going to get upset at me for this post... I'm not talking about people like Kelley. I'm talking about people who will lived on the government and who will continue to live on the government because they can... They know they can and they won't look for anything else. And yes I do realize that some damage to my house could be done... And I worry about that, but I know that my family will look for a way to get ourselves self sufficient again as soon as possible and most of those people were not. That's what upsets me... And like I said numerous times, I feel terrible for all of the death and destruction in NO, it was a city I loved just as much as anyone but the LA government has NO plan on what to do with these people, and I think that upsets me more than anything. All of the cities in TX were ready and waiting by the time the storm was on the way... That's all...

I understand. There is no need for clarification... I addressed the people not in Kelly's situation. I guess here is my real question: If the people who lived off of the government weren't inconveniencing you, would you be upset? Your original post was about you... to be honest it was just baffling that you could be concerned about your senior year of college in the face of the largest natural disaster in America's history. Not to mention that it was one that occurred in the city that you "loved just as much as anyone". I won't even start on you stating that in the past tense...
In other news, Texas is a far more organized state than Louisiana, not to mention that it also took a look at the mess ups in Louisiana and went proactive with it - good for them.
Hope your family is ok - Atascocita wasn't hit too hard... I'm thankful.
