Vanished
So first new show of the season - Vanished. And since a friend is part of the writing team (and the fact that I am intruiged), I'm sitting down to watch it in it's first airing (East Coast Time).
what's it about?
(from FOX's press release) SARA (Joanne Kelly, "Whiskey Echo") is the beautiful young wife of prominent Georgia Senator JEFFREY COLLINS (John Allen Nelson, "24"), and she has gone missing. But before the FBI can solve the mystery of where she is, they first need to figure out who she really is. Okay, it's about 6 minutes in... and it's already really suspenseful. Mrs. Collins took a mysterious phone call at the start, and now she's gone. The music is pretty good too; I really loved the drums. It totally added to the feel of things.
Although I must say, this minute 8-10 is all slow motion and quite overly dramatic when a guy (Graham) who we later learn is recalling the past, loses a little boy (who I presume to be his son until otherwise noted) after a ransom goes bad. I don't know how I feel about this one.
This random skipping is driving me just a little insane.. as they flash from asking a guy for help with the Senator's Wife, to a woman having sex. Not that it's not sexy, but it's weird.
Now the guy who lost the little boy, Graham, he sounds like an awesome guy who can get the job done. So far, so good. Although, the little boy may not be his son.
Oh, and the reporter is annoying.
So the Senator's daughter is not missing, but off eloping and having sex with this guy. Great, another sex scene. Thank you FOX. *rolls eyes* LOL! Sex scenes gets interuppted by FBI/SWAT team. Awesome!
Marcy - the daughter is a bitch. The son, who I don't know the name to, is nice. I like Graham. And the Senator is well, I don't know what to make of him yet.
So is she or is she not pregnant? Test found says she is, Mom & Dad says not possible.
The chase is okay, a little tedious.. but Marcy, the daughter, is just really hard to deal with. And her bf/fiance Ben. I wonder what shit thing Ben did with the blood and money.
And whoa! Sarah met with the ex-wife?
Oooh! I like that the Senator is putting trust in Graham. The Senator did his research, and made his own judgment.
