DEFCON 3

I've discovered a security flaw, and will be immediately going friends-only until I figure out how to handle it. I don't think the intelligence has been compromised, but I can't risk it. If you are a lurker and want to continue reading, you'll have to create a livejournal account and then ask me to friend you. I shall keep you apprised on a need-to ( Read more... )

I had to go friends only post by post, and it was hell. I left a few out out of boredom, but nothing juicy. I was really irritated that there was no way to do it en masse. Also, I read somewhere that paid ljs are getting faster internet connectivity? Is it true? LJ has been sucking for me, bigtime.

I hope your security breach is staunched ASAP.

It is a fairly low-risk situation, but I feel like I should address it. Fortunately, going post by post is routine enough that I got all of 2008 done and into 2007 while watching Dexter tonight. Will just have to tackle it in increments. I have been thinking about moving the blog anyway, so I can post some pictures. Why is LJ so useless in that department?

Another way I reduce risk w/my blog (on blogger) is that I disable archiving, so they can only see the past 6 or so posts. No sifting through my past. You read it when it happens (or within the past month or 2 until it falls off the page) or not at all. Also I'm so paranoid now that I post nearly nothing on my blog that can't be public. More boring but safer... that said if I couldn't read your deliciously detailed blog, it would be a loss.
