I have two kitties at home, and it's much better. Mainly because they play with each other, keep each other company when you are away. So Charlotte doesn't go crazy when you come home!

Cats can be territorial. If you get another I recommend say, if Charlotte is dominant to get a submissive cat and vice versa.

You may also need to get another litterbox, again for territoriality reasons. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I had two cats once, the other constantly beat the crap out of the other one. There was blood. But, I also know people who have 18+ cats in one house. Of course, those ones piss all over the place.

BTW how is Charlotte with toys? She doesn't play when you are gone?

she is good with toys and very curious. She makes use of the scratch pad/ball like twice a day and tosses around the house this stuff mouse I got for her and these balls. However, with anyone's luck, she likes her "non"toys such as my throw rugs and cardboard boxes. She is more dominat so I read to get an older, more quiet cat to even out.

Maybe some cardboard boxes cut for her and stuff with crumpled paper bags in them? Then try repellent on the throw rugs and boxes you don't want her to touch maybe?
