So I went to Target after work to walk around and find a reason why to use my money, JK. I needed shampoo and yes, I wanted to window shop. So I was admiring the purses like I do in every store and this fancy-smancy woman and her stuck up daughter came up to me. hey, quick question about library stuff.... did you apply to drexel?? i need to get my masters and i'm trying to figure out where i want to go.

No I didnt apply to Drexel, but my cousin did the MLS through them and loved it. One of my friends is doing the MLS via Clarion, which you can take classes online and in Philly. Drexel is a good school, but on the expensive side. Let me know if you need more info or have any more questions.

I selected it because I wanted to go out of state since I went to a NJ state school. I also selected becuase it had a well known program and I interviewed students from many MLS programs and they seemed to to be the happiest with it. Also, it was cheaper for me to go there (from out of state) and live there then it was for me to live locally and go to Drexel or Rutgers. Also, I had a feeling I would return back to the NJ area and a degree from another institution from out of the area would be a good competition for applicants who just went locally. That last reason was why I got my current job. They told me they didnt even look at anyone that went to Rutgers. If you are considering doing an online degree and could afford Drexel, perhaps consider Univ. At Pitt? Thats a great school. But keep in mind librarians don't make the best money so why pay a lot more for almost the same education? If you need any more info let me know, I can share with you what schools had a great rep and which ones dont. Drexel was one of the very good ones!:)
