Car Seats are EXPENSIVE.

I was just looking at car seats because JD's infant car seat should be used for 20 lbs or less, and well, he is almost 15 lbs now. I suspect in the next couple of months he will reach that mark. (That is, if I can get him to stop spitting up and gaining just an ounce a week!) The one that I want, that will last the longest, costs $250! I do ( Read more... )

It's actually the Britax Marathon. I think the Roundabout is about $200 and I think it's limit is 45 pounds, whereas the Marathon has a limit of 60 pounds. I was looking at loads of reviews and saw much good about both of them.

Right now we have the Graco Travel System which has the stroller, infant carrier, and car seat base. He is already getting so long that he may outgrow it length-wise before he does weight-wise!
