Yarn Dying fun and other projects
I did 2 of these a couple days ago, and 2 of them a couple weeks (I think?) ago, and I really like how they turned out. I dyed them with Kool-Aid, and I was a mixologist, so I really have no idea how to get the colors I got again. And I have no idea what I'm going to do with this yarn!
The dark one is purple and blue, the camera is just crap at picking up color.
Annnnd I knit one of the two hats I am making for my young, very immature cousin who is having twins any time in the next 5 weeks. Our family is scared shitless. At least the twins will look cute! haha, I sound so blase' about it. I'm not, really. I plan on making them each a pair of socks or booties, also, but am having trouble finding a free pattern that doesn't look ghetto and I can use Cotton-Ease to make.
I have been trying to figure out what to make people for Christmas. I am TRYING not to wait until the last minute. A lot of the gifts will be given after the holidays as that is when I will see the intended recipients. I have some pretty purple wool I am making mom a hat and some matching fingerless gloves for, making dad a pair of fingerless gloves for when he fishes in the dead of winter, and making all the family kitties some kitty toys. I have 2 of the squares done for making catnip wontons, but I wanted to make each kitty (3 not counting mine) the dim sum and a catnip mouse. I am making Monica something so very special, but am going to stick with our tradition of giving gifts and the like 10 months after the occasion? haha. So I have time for that. I have NO idea what I'm doing for my brother, or his girlfriend...yet. I'll figure it out.
