There are ALWAYS going to be people that do that.. I was right about to have a c-section and some chick on babycenter decided to share her horror story.. my username even said c-sectionon(thedate) so she did it on purpose... it's hard.. and you'll hear all kind of bad things about people's experiences... it sucks.. but at the same time sometimes it's best to have a "general" knowledge of the complications that can arise.. we all like to think "it can't happen to us" and then sometimes it does... but more often than not everything goes swimmingly and you bitch about the pain for a few months and then you forget all about it because you're holding your precious baby :)

I have been reading up on different things that could happen, but just so that I know what causes certain things to happen and that sort of thing. Gory details need not apply though, you know? I want to be informed, not freaked the hell out. My doctor is very honest and up front so far, I can only hope she continues that. I know the end result is going to kickass, and I really have tried so hard not to let things get to me that normally would...But I kind of go a little bonkers when people do that type of thing though. It's rude in my opinion. I remember one time when I was at an appointment with my best friend, this expecting woman in the waiting room was telling her to stick vegetables into her to 'prepare' her for the birth...and to make shit stretch out more. She was like 'Start small and use bigger" and started listing off vegetables. I told her if she did that I would kick her ass. haha Stupid people and their advice.

bwahahahaha that is the funniest damn thing I've ever heard about pregnancy! LOL I do know that they say to have sex a lot toward the end.. but it's not because it "induces labor" that's just bs LOL it's because there's a chemical in the semen that helps to thin the cervix... so when that "Have sex" stuff starts you won't get your hopes up LOL a friend of mine is a doula and last I talked to her she was working on getting a midwife's license.. and I saw her correct so many people when we were on babycenter LOL

Everyone has there own horror stories ...after giving birth 3 times..I sure do have mine but I sure in the hell dont just share them with everybody...lmao Every birth experience is different!! The one thing I would suggest though because it did work for me ...to help prevent having to get an episiotomy (sp?)you , your spouse, or your doctor --your choice...can rub that area every so often throughout your pregnancy it helps ALOT when the time comes for birth..:D I didnt try this with my first 2 and I had an episiotomy but with my last one I tried it..no ripping and no episiotomy...woohoo!! Recovery was much better..:D

The best thing you can do though is not listen to the horror stories and enjoy your pregnancy and birthing experience...:D
