So. Today I got money for next term (student loan check). This is nice. Today I also got to visit my grandmother. This went well and was enjoyable, save for her annoying neighbor who butted in and stayed for almost an hour. Today I also got a fibro flare. A nice, joyous state of "duh?" for most of the day; wherein I frequently lost track of

Thanks, Janelle! I'm much better today; the fibromyalgia flare is gone and all is well. It was more a collection of itty-bitty bits of horrible behavior (like almost getting hit twice in traffic, etc. - and no, I wasn't driving; I try not to when I flare) than any one huge thing. The other part is that when I'm flaring it's very hard to throw off those things that ordinarily wouldn't matter. I make an effort to do so (meditation, the Buddhist practice of going for refuge, etc.) and sometimes it helped. Basically, when I'm having one of "those" fibro days, it's like the volume on all my sensory receptors is turned from the normal average of a "5" to about a "10". No fun. But today I'm good and much more peaceful.

I'm glad you are feeling so much better, I can not fully relate to the pain but can imagine how incredibly distracting it is. I had gall stones a few years ago & that was absolutely intense & I certainly don't recommend driving under such conditions. I was glad you weren't; and can empathize how absolutely nuts everything made you b/c no one can tolerate anything when you feel the kind of pain you had to endure. Thanks for the compliment about my user pic - it made me smile & laugh when I first saw it. As for the move it doesn't "happen" till the end of this month - I'm still in packing mode & that is no fun what-so-ever! Hope you have a better day! Peace, Janelle.
