Hey Folks, occasionally people add me to their lists without saying anything and I don't necessarily know who you are or why you added me. Care to tell me what's going on? I'm not exactly known for letting random strangers read my journal without at least an introduction, and since I post so few things publically you're not getting a lot of ( Read more... )

My brother is having that problem. None of these are Russian that I'm asking about. Be aware though that a number of these "russians" are bots. I don't allow anyone on to my journal without knowing something about them, and can verify with certainty that they're a real person and not a bot.

My red flags are:

1. (Newly created) Journals with many added friends but few, if any, mutual friends.
2. Journals with little or no profile.
3. Journals which include no independant interests. (I.e. they read like a company catalogue of "target groups")

I don't friend-back those random strangers that friend me like this is facebook anyway, and most of my posts are F-locked... After an incident with some random person commenting on a post that was kinda not flattering to someone else I'd met (if you're curious you can click on my tag 'unwanted attention' and read up on "dude" it's kinda funny), I realized that perhaps a lot more people are looking at my stuff than I thought. So, mostly the things that are left open are announcements of updates to my stories and memes or quizzes.

You, however, got on my f-list, which is why you got to see the post about Blain...

Yeah, several years now though I seldom hear from her often. She used to work at Barnes and Noble with my wife. Played D&D with us occasionally but left for a 3.5 group. (We play 2nd edition as evidenced by my rather sizable collection.) Every now and again she'll play munchkin with us.
