Jinx was just on his way to the bar since Krew had decided to give him that rare moment of freedom.
However, those plans were quickly overshadowed by the sight of a child flying out of some sort of portal. He considers just ignoring the child, pivoting to leave, but realizes that this may be more interesting than the same old same old at the bar.
Jinx approaches the boy from behind and taps his shoulder.
Jak jumped in surprise and quickly turned to face the man. It was a testament of how disoriented he was that he hadn't even noticed Jinx until the other was next to him.
Any hopes that he'd had that this was someone he knew were crushed the moment he looked up. Dirty blond hair and a stubbly chin, a face that was narrow and pinched. Jak had never seen this man before.
Still, he'd been approached, so Jak screwed his face up into a questioning look. What did this man want?
Jinx almost as surprised as Jak, jumped a step back. Though the hair looked familiar, he's certain that he'd never seen this boy in his life.
Although...
The Jak he knows looks just like this child. He may be older and a bit roughened up by the city streets, but Jinx concludes that they are the same person only because golden emerald hair isn't common at all here in Haven.
That was a good question. Jak pensively considered the answer, then held up both hands to form a circle - a Precursor ring. Keeping one hand in a half circle, he pulled his other hand back and closed his fingers together before moving it past the other. He'd gone through the Precursor ring before winding up here.
With an apologetic shrug, he dropped his hands. That was all he knew.
Holy crap, a Krew!ecospongeAugust 28 2010, 02:05:00 UTC
Jak has always prided himself on taking people's appearances in stride. There were all sorts of people out there, and the world took all sorts, but this...
Wide-eyed, the teen stumbled back a step. Whoa! The man in front of him was huge! It took him a second before it registered on him that the other had asked a question, at which point he blinked in confusion. How had this man known his name?
He scratched the back of his head and shrugged his shoulders. He was lost. He wasn't doing much.

Jak turns his head, trying to keep track of the floating man. He has no idea about Krew's regular habits, so doesn't think to question the man's presence on the street. It's clear, though, that Krew wants a better answer than the one that Jak just gave, so the boy held a hand up to his eyes as though shielding them while he peered around. He held up his other hand with three fingers raised, then gestured at three different heights.

"What are ya' doing out here, aayyyeee?"
A better question is why Krew has left his home; the Hip Hog. He rarely ever leaves that place, but today seemed like a nice day for a stroll.
