He hadn't been sleeping, not quite; an incarnate of Eco didn't really need it, but it was a good way to pass the time when there was nothing better to do. Not to mention it just felt normal. Light blamed it on Jak's body, but at least this time around it came in handy.

Somewhat.

Erol brushing silently into his cage had been more of a surprise than one would think; it was obvious that between the two of them -he and Dark- that Light was the one less likely to disembowel any visitors, but still he could tell that Erol despised the very look of him. It was all well, considering he hated Erol right back, but it wouldn't hurt anything to listen to the redhead since he'd taken the initiative and visited Light first. "Erol. Didn't know you made house calls."

Something in Erol's throat tensed as he faced the Light Eco incarnation. But he kept his goal and the reason he was here in mind.

"Quiet. Me, you, Darkie. Out. I'm done with this nonsense. Let's go."

Or the pair of you can stay here and rot, if you'd really rather.

"Your other half will be useful if we run into trouble, but you'll have to wrangle him. Convince him not to gut me and the three of us might get out of here intact."

"You're asking me to do the impossible," Light pointed out, uncurling his legs and slowly standing. Erol's proposition was very appealing; without Erol as an obstacle, escaping would be much, much easier. But just as always...Dark was the real problem. He wouldn't listen to a single word Light said, whether or not it was for his benefit in the end. Not to mention that he couldn't leave without finding Jak first...but Erol didn't know about that. It would be difficult to escape with Erol in tow without informing him of their predicament.

Of course...with Erol in the cage and the door now open, Light wouldn't have to worry about Erol heading off to torment Jak any longer. Sidestepping to put himself between Erol and the door -only slightly- and unfurling his wings -but holding them close to his body so they didn't touch the bars or roof of his cage- Light folded his arms behind his back.

"The best I can do is protect you from him. But in exchange...you have to help me find Jak."

Erol frowned and gave a small huff of frustration. This was time they should be using for escape, not negotiation.

If Light couldn't control Dark his usefulness was limited; Erol wasn't even certain if the pair of them COULD go far from each other, so he might as well abandon the better half if he was going to be quarrelsome. Chances were better with the boy along, but at some point it would cease to be an advantage, especially if he was delayed.

He hated the look and feel of Light but that didn't mean he was too chicken to shove his way past - or just shoot him in the head - to be on his way -

Wait.

"Find WHO?"
