All right, you lot, liven up! You are all hereby honorary members of my pirate crew. You'll be taking orders from me now, so look sharp!

Good luck with that.

Is that insubordination, Miss Praxis?

That's Ashelin to you, Phoenix.

And just what position do you think you hold in my crew to make you equal to me?

[His tone is very teasing.]

Oh really?

Of course. In fact, I'm thinking there's a position for a mechanic that's waiting to be filled.

Assuming, that is, that you are still as mechanically inclined as the woman who I knew.

Of course.

[Playfully.] But why should I take orders from you, Captain?

Because doing so would allow you the opportunity to play with my engines.

[...that came out worse than he intended. He's not trying to hit on you, Keira. REALLY. It's just... verbal habits die hard.

Damn it.]

Not likely.

Who said you were getting a choice? It's the crew or the brig for you, Jak.

I don't take orders from you.

The brig it is, then, and just as well, in my opinion. Conversations with certain other valued crew members will be much more stimulating without the distraction of your presence.

Piratin' ain' exactly my cuppa' tea. I care more for... profitable merchandisin' o' questionable merits, or so teh speak.

With a bit'a friendly wagerin' on the side, o' course.

Klout! Good man! I knew I could count on you!

[Blink.]

And what is pirating if not the acquisition of "profitable merchandise of questionable merits?"

[...]

Them's fightin' words, yabber.

I hear there's also a bit'o 'do-goodin' involved in your sort'a piratin'.

[Or so a certain someone predicts, since she's not quite done with the game yet. This could be totally wrong, and therefore, totally awkward.]

I have no idea what you might be referring to, Klout. Unless it's Keira, in which case you really should not be surprised. You've known me long enough to know my weaknesses in regards to women.

[Will keep her mouth shut out of courtesy for someone who has SOMEHOW REMAINED UNSPOILED ALL THIS TIME OMG :O]

Give me an hour in your pirate village and I'll have my own crew, thank you.

The only way you're getting to Far Drop, Razer, is by sailing on my ship. So what will it be, then, hmm? Perhaps First Mate?

I tend to be a little difficult to handle in lieutenant positions, Phoenix. I doubt you could keep me under control any better than anyone else.

Not to mention that if you drag me onto your ship to serve under your pretty if underaged command, I will obviously have to bring Erol with me, and what will you do about him? He doesn't play nicely with others, you know.

Perhaps if you did not think of it as me controlling you, but as an agreed upon arrangement to be terminated upon arrival at the Brink?

[He grimaces.]

If you insist on bringing him along, it will be your duty to keep him occupied and out of trouble, Razer. Otherwise he will wind up in the brig.
