Monorail...still causing problems

When the monorail was voted in a couple years ago, I was distraught. Not because I don't like the idea of a monorail, but because the monorail system proposed was, in my opinion, ill conceived, poorly planned, and falsely promoted. I am absolutely floored that your lawmakers could possibly pretend to hide behind a "responsibility to taxpayers" in this. That land belongs to the original owners, they did not sell willingly but were legally advised it was best to cooperate. The city should now be forced by the same guidelines to sell unwillingly back to the original owners for the same money regardless of any financial hardship it may incur - they made the mistake, not the owners. I can't believe your residents could be so cheated by their government and that there's actually legal support for this criminal excuse. What a racket - intimidate someone to sell, wait for property value to rise, and then put it out for open bid... I know it's more complicated than that but in essence this covers it - it's more moblike than civil.
