Following up on an earlier post, I read a chapter in the Matrix and Philosophy about Happiness, the long-term satisfying happiness. This guy argues that if you are ignorant or self-deceived, you cannot be Happy. One reason: your Happiness is bound to be somehow incomplete if it is not fully earned. If you could measure happiness scientifically (the amount of endorphines or other stuff in the brain) and ignorance (which hormones cause that?) then you might be able to answer the question.
It comes to basic philosophy. You can't prove that your not in the matrix.
