Finished my HIST 110 final a day early, probably a good thing. I was going to take my BIO final tomorrow... er.. today, but decided I'm going to take it on Thursday. I'm going to use the today for a bit of looking over my notes, and hope to get a decent grade ( Read more... )

Yeah, Chinese history is all progress! No need for dark ages or a renessiance. The dynasties can be hard to put in the right order, but once you get your head around the most important bits for each it makes more sense. Did you see the John Woo movie of the three kingdoms? It's very good. Though I highly recommend the full Chinese version in 2 parts.

I haven't seen the movie, but a person in my class did a research project on the Three Kingdoms period. He referenced the Battle of Red Cliffs and the movie. I'll check it out.

It's really very good! And I think it helps with the history if you have something to visualise.
