Eric, when you knocked my external harddrive over, you broke it. so you can go ahead and pay me for the 500 gig sata that was in it, but you cant just pay me for the 200 gigs of music that USED to be on it. you need to watch what you knock over.

I'm insanely sorry about the music, and, like I've already said, I have no problem at all paying for the drive.
Before I dish out a bunch of money for a new drive, are you sure it's the drive that's damaged and not the enclosure? Also, how long have you had it? If it's still under warranty, and you can get a new one from the manufacturer, my money might be better spent on some sort of data recovery.
Again, I'm really sorry and take full responsibility for the damage done. I'll be sure to watch where I put my ass in the future so long as next time you put something valuable down somewhere, you take into consideration whether or not it's in a place where people tend to put their asses.
