So apparently people don't like to be called redneck bigots :). Ok so I'm sorry for saying it but I'm also not sorry. I know it's stupid that the Nazi thing is a big deal to me, it would have never been if I didn't come to this school. Cherelle, I truly don't know what to say. I can't imagine what I would do if I were in your situation. I'm not going to give you any meaningless platitudes. All I can say is talk to God about it. And, ok, maybe just one pointless cliche: Remember, no matter how much the idiots outnumber you, they're still the idiots. One question, though. I don't understand the Shavonda thing...

As I said before, don't let it get to you. If you hear the jokes and you know they can be hurtful, then by all means don't laugh. I don't. And I know what it's like to get dirty looks for dating someone of another race, I got em all the time anytime I dated a black guy. But the way I see it is these people are not the ones in the relationship, you are. Race should never be an issue in a relationship, and if other people don't like it, tough. You're a smart girl Cherelle, don't let other people's misconceptions of you get to you. And by no means should you lower yourself to fit those misconceptions. I get told to go back to Mexico all the time, but my family really had no choice in the matter. America came in and took their land and claimed it as theirs. It's the same thing with the black people whose ancestors were slaves...they had no choice in the matter. If you want to fight it, ok.
