I liked that Merlin didn't get better right away and that Arthur didn't always know what to do. Well done.

Nice... though the lack of mentions of Balinor seemed off. I mean... Balinor was Merlin's real father and the loss of Gaius would mean that Merlin had lost two fathers. Aka his real one and another father figure. Thus that particular scene could have been expanded. Since it be kinda weird if Balinor was altogether forgotten. Gaius's death would have reopened the wound about Balinor's death after all.

That aside, it was a nice read.
Also, it was a bit odd that Arthur hadn't asked about Kilgarrah. I mean, all except Merlin thought it was dead. Yea, in a way I kinda merged my thoughts about this one-shot and the previous one in one post. XP
