Because of Him
My eyes dance with a new found brightness
A crooked smile sprawls across my face
Blushing warmth turns my cheeks crimson
The shattered tea cup of my body begins to piece itself back together
A bongo drum beat is heard through my hollow chest
My legs are those of a new fawn faun
Because he walked in to the room
Because I meet his glowing glittery green eyes
A soft click of the door is now all that remains of his presence
My eyes like a tattered old flag
The tea cup again falls
Breaking into a million pieces
Its smashing replaces the sudden stop
Of the glorious bongo that beat there a minute ago
The smile turns down with redness in my cheeks
The day continues with these ups and downs
Because of him

The Wolf
Through my transparent shield from the outside
Gray ice and a dark foreboding sky awaits
Bare trees stand unprotected
A hollow wind blows
Leaves crunch
As the gray wolf creeps
From the shadows
A deafening howl
Shakes the sky

Down
She slips and
falls,
falls,
falls.
Down she goes as she
falls,
falls,
falls,
Unable to save herself.

A dove sings
Outside my window a white dove sings
Chirping merrily
It sits on a long branch just out of my reach
The tips of my fingers brush its silken feathers
I ache to bring into my room
I just want a piece of its beauty for me
Logic strikes
A beautiful wild thing like that should not be caged
Leaving the window open
The sunshine warms the room
From its perch the dove flies
Landing on my windowsill
And begins to serenade me
