being tormented like this. sometimes the English language is hard to figure out! :)

Anyway, Jamal, "bit the bullet" does NOT mean she died. I just had to add my critique on this one.

Dude, you need to see more people in the day -- your journal is all Giselle stories!

And where's the first draft of the book anyway?

Well, every attempt to venture outside is met with a call to come back and bring soda. Don't get to meet new people doing that...

As far as biting the bullet goes, in speech it might not mean death but in reality it's pretty damn dangerous. Prolly kill ya or make you not want to live much longer...

The book? Well how does one write a book without notes? You just get to see the raw materials before they go into the final product

actually, dear, i think the expression comes from the old days when they used to give patients bullets to bite on when undergoing surgery...you know, before anesthesia. it would never work with dentistry.
