I leave tomorrow (Thursday) and embark on a 10-hour trip to Yreka, Calif., which will probably be where I will start work this summer and live for at least the next two years. The trip's purpose is to finally meet face-to-face with the editor I've talked to several times on the phone and who has told me she is pretty much ready to offer me the job
