I have no doubt that it's great and that fans are obviously going to be drawn to it, but as someone who knows very little about Star Trek, it didn't make me want to immediately head to the theater. I do think I'm in the minority on this, however.

Well, I went into it knowing that it was supposed to be a "reboot", so I am okay with having the alternate universe. If they DIDN'T change such drastic things, then what are they gonna do for sequels? Re-do the Original Series? Nuh-uh.

I liked Uhura and Spock. That's what made me like Spock so much. Jealous of Uhura. :D
