Nice argument. No sense ignoring the reality of the market-driven world.

i'll just post a simple run down of the reasons i do not shop at walmart.

1. to cut costs, managerial staff at some walmart locations have purposly cut hours off of checks even after said employee has worked them to keep them below being full-time employees.

2. due to products being stolen during stocking hours (in non 24 hour walmarts i suppose) managerial staff were INSTRUCTED to lock all exits in the store, including fire escapes

3. it's not just a "loss of main street" as you put it. when a walmart puts all small shops in an area out of business, the people owning those shops are no longer paying property taxes which leads to less income for that municipality. in the long run this can lead to state tax increases and other inconviences. note: this usually will only occur in rural areas.

sorry for all the misspellings, i'm kinda in a hurry right now but yeah, hope this shed some light on to the other side of things.

does this mean you're going to stop drinking coke? does this mean you're going to stop driving? i bet if mom and pops could take sam walton's place they would. they may not admit it, but deep down they would. where do you draw the line my friend? BOYCOTT IT ALL I SAY! BOYCOTT IT ALL!
