Has there been an epidemic of LiveJournal/Facebook crosspostings I missed or something?

EDIT: If I see you crossposting your comments, Satan will rain down your throat with hot acid and dissolve your testicles and turn your guts into snakes!

Not yet, just the ability to crosspost comments there easily, including comments you make on f-locked posts from other people. This has lots of people up in arms and paranoid that their LJs will become too public in various ways.

As far as I can tell, this is all backlash about the cross-referencing ability of LJ and FB and Twitter. Commenters can take their LJ comments and cross post them to FB and/or Twitter, thereby potentially circumventing the privacy filters that some LJ users have in place. I think we both know plenty of people who use a rather heavy filtering system for a number of reasons, and they are rather understandably paranoid about their information becoming potentially more public again. It doesn't affect people like me who only make public posts as my filtering system is in what I choose to post or not post. However, my system isn't for everyone.

What if we don't have testicles?

You will be issued a standard set of testicles, which will then be dissolved.

Eh, it's not like you will have had time to really get attached to them.

I wouldn't do it regardless of your threats! FB is FB and LJ is LJ and the two should not cross except in the case of awesome links, which nevertheless deserve separate commentary because mine are two different audiences anyway.

How is this supposed to work, anyway? I'd like for my actual non-locked LJ posts to be mirrored to Facebook, but friendfeed stopped working properly a few updates ago and I've had to manually crosspost (which I forgot to do with last night's reviews, come to think of it).

Oh, wait...I see the little "repost to" thing on the bottom of this very reply.
