So it's opening ceremony night. Same thing happened in Sydney. We were all grumpy and then we remembered it was a party. We like parties

We do indeed. I think you've totally nailed it. Partying hard is on the programme for the closing ceremony and then we do it all again for the paralympics...

Yay for the party spirit coming alive in London. I missed the opening ceremony - my life is currently work or sleep :( Probably going to miss most of the Olympics as well - hearings and prep for them from here 'til end September. Might look at having a week off in October though.
And yay for getting awesome saucepans - it's important to have decent cookware, its a joy to use.
And still think the Jack the Ripper thing would have been amazing to attend.
