Warded from Professors, Spinks and Crouch

Well, things've been pretty... eventful, shall we say? I haven't really bothered to write much in here recently-- I have actually been pretty busy, hard as it may be to believe. Quidditch practice has stepped up to five nights a week so most of the time I'm too tired to think about picking up a book, even if it is just a journal, because after a ( Read more... )

I've noticed! Our Captain has gone to Headmaster Dumbledore to complain about your team hogging the pitch! The rest of us need to practise too, you know!

Well, it's no use complaining to me about it-- I'm not Captain yet. If I had it my way I'd be sleeping in instead of out on the pitch at six every morning. As far as the rest of the team and I are concerned, you can have the morning slot with our blessing, but you'll need to talk to Bell about it because he's the one pulling the strings.

I'm not! I'm letting you know that our Captain has gone to the proper authorities about this!

Bell's a bit insane, really!

Well, that's fine with me, I hope Dumbledore gives you the pitch for a bit. Then maybe Bell will calm down-- he's driving us to distraction, and an exasperated team's no good.

He's too over-enthusiastic. Lucky we don't lose, or he'd have to be put on suicide watch or something.

I remember that. You coasting down the stairs on the ice statue. I was half fascinated and half thinking that I would never have managed to get away with something like that myself. Not that we would have been able to host a Ministry function of that side at home, anyway.

I do agree that you couldn't get away with it now.

It was definitely a sight to behold. I can't remember who I crashed into, I just remember that my mum's look of complete horror suggested that it was someone very important. I could see my dad thought it was brilliant, even if he didn't say so-- he had that look in his eye.

Yeah, unfortunately I doubt I could. Plus, any prank I pulled now would probably be a lot more sophisticated, which is why my mum's not going to let me be there. Are you going?

I don't rightly recall, either, but there's no reason I should have, after all.

That's probably quite sensible of her. And if I'm invited, I'm sure I'll make an appearance.

True. If anyone would remember it would be my mum, but I don't think I want to bring the incident up again any time soon, or my Christmas might not be as enjoyable as it could be.

Yeah, I'd have to agree on that, even if it's annoying that I'll be out of the house on Christmas Eve. And I hope you have a good time, although I doubt it'd be my sort of party.
