At our poker games, over-emotional players are taunted to call with the label "pot-committed". Either you've got the cards or you don't, but it's an attractive fallacy for those inclined to gamble. For instance, you've already put so much in the pot that if you fold the hand you are for all practical terms out of the game, so you move in with a marginal or draw hand....
