Back from NC - 11.5 hours is a bit long for a solo drive, so it was nice to have Tom to split the driving with. He only tried to shift into 6th gear a few times, and my Subaru was kind enough not to let him. However, 23 hours trapped in a car with patient zero has given me a mild case of some modern plauge. I don't see the Gordon resemblance at all..

I had corn pancakes while I was in DC this weekend. Not "corn pancakes" as in corn-meal pancakes, but "corn pancakes" as in regular pancakes with whole cooked corn kernels in the batter. It was in-fucking-credible.

Don't worry, I'll be back that way again before the summer is over. I've also told Nate that he's in charge of organizing something in DC this summer and convening all of the CSH-DC/VA/MD/NC folks there. If that happens, I'll be sure to show up and spend some time with y'all.

Sounds good to me. It just so happens that NoVA (or Richmond) is about the middle of the road for the MD and NC people. :)
