HOW COULD YOU?
 By Jim Willis, 2001.

When I was a puppy, I entertained you with my antics and made you laugh. You called me your child, and despite a number of chewed shoes and a couple of murdered throw pillows, I became your best friend. Whenever I was "bad," you'd shake your finger at me and ask "How could you?" -- but then you'd relent and roll ( Read more... )

Gah....why did you do this...why? Now, I can't stop sniffing. I have taken in 4 cats when I really could barely feed the ones I had because their owners didn't want them anymore. Yeah, they're a pain in the ass, there's too much cat hair, litter, craziness and random vomiting and sometimes, it really gets on my last nerve. But, I'd NEVER turn them in cause you never know after you let them go what's gonna happen to them. Sometimes, those nutty, worrisome little shits give me great pleasure and I know they love me, no matter how grouchy I am.

This totally made me cry at work. I had to put my dog down and it was one of the hardest decisions I ever made (and it was harder because he wasn't even old) and I've volunteered plenty at the Humane Society in my city and everytime I do, it makes me want to rescue all those pets :(

ohmygosh. i hope the reason was one that... idk, i hope it was a good reason bb. it just sucks that there would ever come a time in life when one would have to consider this option. sorry you had to.

My dog was really aggressive, and no matter what we did, we couldn't break him of his habit of trying to bite people. He nipped at several people (actually broke the skin on my friend's leg but luckily she didn't press charges or anything) Then in 2003 he actually bit my face and I had to get stitches in my lip and stuff and since I was his main owner, if he was able to break me, who wouldn't he bite, you know? We were terrified he would bite a child or something because even though we'd watch him, it was just too easy of a control to lose, you know? But yeah, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. :(
