So they just want to dial back the clock of women's rights a couple hundred years. Should we stone adulteresses again too? I mean, Jesus himself said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," but he was probably just speaking allegorically amirightoramiright?

And let's just forget that when "go forth and multiply" was written into the bible there were a few orders of magnitude fewer people in the world, and yeah my ecology/evolution classes taught me that the odds of survival of a species are actually pretty low when there's thousands of individuals rather than millions. But now we have billions and we're running out of a few little things like water. Now is the time to actually *care for* (i.e. adopt or foster) all those kids who don't have capable parents, and maybe slow down our faster than exponential growth, for the love of God ( ... )

Heh, funny you mention stoning. The Quiverfull types are part of the larger Dominionist movement, which follows the same principles of submissive females, no rights for non-christians, etc. One of the publicly stated goals from some of their leaders is 10,000 public executions a year using old methods like stoning for crimes like being a homosexual. I'm sure adultery would make it in there.
