Is it just me....ctown_woodyMay 10 2006, 08:03:57 UTC
Or are you saying you are fairly alone in a new city, prolly a lot larger than what you are used to? Welcome to the club. My neighborhood was almost as populous as Conway, where I moved to for 4 years. I'd seriously find some clubs (like chess, reading, for you--anime and other geeky things), go to college functions if you can. Heck, talk Mike into hosting a party for his workplace.
Or I could be wrong about the whole thing and giving you advise for something you don't need. Woody
i was just about to email you asking how you were taking the move. just promise you wont purposfully keep yourself feeling alone (its not healthy you know). well, i's got to go (stupid 7:30 finals....)
You can only learn so much about yourself when you're alone - so much of our personality is discovered when we are forced to react to other people. Enjoy your solitude in that it gives you time to properly reflect on the times when you were with other people and lets you digest those lessons that you have learned. If you stay away from people too long you'll forget the lessons you supposedly learned in your solitude and then there will be no progress.
Glad to hear you're doing well thou! ;) PS. What happened to that CD?
Would you believe ....james_wolfMay 11 2006, 02:12:55 UTC
I've been unable to find the blank discs I could have sworn I moved, and haven't been able to buy a new spindle of them ? (DVD-Rs are still a little expensive, and my new job doesn't start till monday, let alone get paid).
But I've got all the files waiting to be burned as soon as I can find/buy some blanks.
