Also, there are no more children who need to be adopted - didn't you hear? And anyways, kids in abusive "families" are better off than possibly finding a better environment with two gay people. The kids might get made fun of in middle school!
All sarcasm aside, I really think the Senate should focus on some issues that might be a bit more pressing - like the skyrocketing national debt or that little thing we call the War on Terror.
