James was such a great guy and always seemed to have a smile on his face. I know very little of sign language so James always smiled and giggled when I tried to finger spell words. He always gave me a hug and made a low growling noise that let me know he was happy to be getting and giving a hug.

I am so sorry for your loss Mr. Sharer.

Eryk, we are all holding you and all James' family in our thoughts and the memory of James in our hearts. He was a good, kindly, decent, happy, smiling light in the world. I am sad he's no longer with us, and will remember him.

Thanks so much for posting this. Many of us here only knew James through his LJ and he was always a very kind and gentle person with such a big heart. I felt honored to have known him even in a small way here. I will keep your family and James in my prayers. I am glad to know that he had family to greet him in heaven. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I will echo the sentiments expressed so well by txkink My too-brief acquaintance with James through LiveJournal gave me the chance to experience the mind of a man with a very good--and very big--heart, and for that, I'm thankful.

You, his family and friends, are in my thoughts. And as I expressed to that_grr , I will make a snow angel for James when Chicago gets its next good fluffy snow...I think he might like that.

James touched my life only briefly, though Livejournal. Still, in that short time, I found out what a kind hearted soul he was. He will be missed.
