ah, but it's good for everything else. running on a softer surface (dirt) and drinking plenty of milk helps the joints.
side note: the medical benefits of a cold bath (or soaking) are astounding. it's painful for the first 2 minutes, but it speeds up the healing process after physical exertion. my soreness is nearly non-existent. google it sometimes...there are people that swear by them for medicinal purposes, not just for muscle healing. i can't do the full bath/shower though, but others swear by it.
