It's been a strange summer in DC. We went from drought to one of the rainiest weeks on record, to six week without rain to Tropical Storm Ernesto wind and rain. Reading my most recent entry, I can see that not much has changed. We are still plugging away at the Eddie Bauer proposal (final round of two now--round 4 for those of us counting), baking in the heat and trying to trick my body into running a marathon. I completed 11.1 miles yesterday. It was quite painful, but I was able to pick up the pace for the last .1 mile. I just can't imagine adding another 15 miles to that distance. It's mind boggling and better not to think about it while my legs are still sore ( Read more... )
