Oooh. This was different, and intriguing, and I really liked it!
Definitely a step away from the usual fandom interpretation of James, and enjoyable for it. I love the feel of destiny running through this - somehow, James' convinctions and arrogance are persuasive.
Heart-breaking in parts, too, but overall really quite stirring, plus I thought you pulled off the first person narrative very well.
Hmm, this has given me food for thought. I shall now wander away to ponder.
The whole story seemed to be heading one way until this "Because what else is Voldemort if not great?" the ending! What a different way of seeing James, and the way he acted. I think it is really interesting to see his history from another side, and the bit with Voldemort....that was really good. Wonderful writing.
