I once read somewhere that the saddest thing at the end of a life is the regrets about the things not done that could have been. This sounds like it would be one of those things.
If you want to go, then go. In the grand scheme of things, is waiting one more semester going to hinder the final outcome? Will it make more of a difference to your life than you could make to some of the lives down there?
Just please... be VERY careful of anything they ask you to sign first and make sure you read all the little print.
**I want to do something and donating money doesn't do it for me.**
James, I know I don't comment in your journal very often, though I do read it. This is one of those moments where I feel proud that you have let me into your life. I am proud to know people like you. Look at all the positive support you have in here. I don't know any of the people who've commented so far, but I'm even proud of them to have given their support. I trust that you will do what is right in your heart. I'm proud of you. I don't know how to explain it other than that...

Ironic that I'm as worried for him now as when he left for Iraq. Amazing.
