G-damn. Go kick their ass for us, James! *sigh* I keep trying to think the best of people, and then this kind of crap keeps happening. Well, good for you for being so upset by the whole thing. It would make a good story for the press.

There was a thing on TV about FEMA wanting a bunch of firefighters to hand out flyers. Sounds like the same BS you got. (Plus, of course, there were those handful of firefighters who got the "privilige" of posing with George W.
When the firefighters turned down the flyering opportunity, the FEMA official lambasted them for lack of dedication to FEMA and to FIREFIGHTING.

Work on your education. That way you will be extra qualified when you do get to go.
